relaxing getaway

prawn curry swimming pool

the food was amazing!!! i had a full board package, and the sri lankan prawn curry at the turnstone restaurant was delicious. the hotel has a large swimming pool set in the heart of nature, a plus for daytime relaxation. fresh coconut water by the pool was very refreshing.

the car park has black metal squares erected on the ground and not visible at night. no warning signs displayed, and it damaged my suv front bumper. i reported it to the management, but they refused compensation.

the service was friendly. harsha at the main restaurant took excellent care of drinks and was always warm and cute. the therapist asked how i was feeling at the hotel spa and ensured the pressure was to my liking.

The location is excellent. It is about 40 minutes' drive from yala national park. the restaurant provided delicious and well-prepared meals. friendly staff and attention to detail.

Mixed Experience, Some positives, but issues persist

outdated decor poor upgrade

The hotel grounds are maintained well with lush gardens. Super clean pathways create a sense of tranquility.

I chose a ground-floor room, but I was told I had been "upgraded" to a first-floor room. This so-called upgrade lacked the easy garden access I had wanted. The room itself featured outdated decor with dark brown furniture.

mosquito problem poor dinner options

The amount of mosquitoes at night was overwhelming. I expected better pest control. The open buffet dinner lacked variety, especially for the price. Options seemed limited to Sri Lankan and Indian dishes, with a noticeable absence of Western choices. The desserts were uninspired, and the overall selection felt more like a standard 3-star hotel, but with a much higher price tag. It was a real let down. I wish I had known this beforehand.
